What is wood veneer?
What is wood veneer?Wood veneer is a type of engineered wood that is made from very thin sheets of wood that are glued onto core panels (made from solid wood, MDF, or particleboard). The thin slices of wood are obtained by peeling the trunk of a tree or by cutting them from large rectangular blocks of wood.

Wood veneer may be made from either hardwoods and softwoods. It is commonly used on less attractive materials, such as particleboard and MDF, to give them a more attractive, solid wood appearance.

The adhesives used to glue the wood slices to the cores may or may not be eco-friendly or safe. Some new wood veneers are FSC-certified.

Our Customers Say ...
  • "Customer service is exceptional and very attentive. I was updated on all parts of the ordering process via email messages. Plus, I had chosen a faster, more expensive shipping method (UPS 3 day), but they wrote and told me it was faster and cheaper to send via UPS Ground because of my location. Highly recommend this store and will definitely shop here again!"
