What is sherpa?

Sherpa is a soft, plush, loopy fabric that is similar to the fabric used to make towels. It is also known as sherpa
fleece or sherpa
terry. Sherpa is made by brushing and washing knit terry fabric to raise the fibers and give it a super soft and fluffy feel that is similar to
wool. Because it is absorbent, thick, and soft, sherpa is often used in cloth baby diapers. It may be made completely from
polyester or from a blend of polyester and cotton.
