What is nylon?
What is nylon?Nylon is a synthetic (petroleum-derived) material that was originally created as an alternative to silk during WWII. Nylon is lightweight, strong, durable, resistant to damage, and takes dye well. It is heat-sensitive, however, so it should be washed and dried in cool temperatures or hung to dry. Nylon is the second most used fiber in the USA and is used in a wide variety of products, including stockings, toothbrushes, fabrics, parachutes, camping gear, carpets, and musical instrument strings. Like most other synthetic fibers, nylon does not breathe as well as natural fibers, and it decomposes very slowly.

Our Customers Say ...
  • "Customer service is exceptional and very attentive. I was updated on all parts of the ordering process via email messages. Plus, I had chosen a faster, more expensive shipping method (UPS 3 day), but they wrote and told me it was faster and cheaper to send via UPS Ground because of my location. Highly recommend this store and will definitely shop here again!"
