What are dye inks? What are dye inks?

Dye inks are
water-based inks made from colored liquids (from natural or synthetic materials). Because they are water-soluble, dye inks are more likely to run or bleed than
pigment inks. Dye inks can mix with one another in water and they actually soak into the paper during printing, resulting in a softer hand. On a tee shirt, dye-ink prints are breathable and less likely to crack after wearing or washing.
They are acid-free, non-toxic, cheaper than
pigment inks. However, they have lower fade-resistance and water-resistance than
pigment inks. They may be used for printing photos, tee shirt transfers, and regular documents.
